Assigning Messages to Products

Basic Assignment #

  1. Go to Products and edit any product
  2. Find the Smart Product Emails tab

The PRO Assignment Interface #

With SPE PRO, you’ll see new options in the Smart Product Emails tab. There will be 4 items (“cards”) shown:

  • Processing
  • On-Hold
  • Completed
  • Refunded

Each of these cards represents an Order Status email.

Inside each card, you will see the following:

  • A large number indicating how many SPE Messages you have assigned to the email.
  • Customize button to assign SPE Messages.
  • Test button to send a Test Email to yourself.

Assigning Multiple Messages #

In PRO, you can assign multiple messages to each order status:

  1. Click the Customize button to open the Customize Email window
  2. At the top of the window, there is a toggle button to switch between Customize (gear icon) or Preview (eye icon) modes
  3. The main body of the window shows a preview of the sample WooCommerce email template, with some areas outlined in a blue/purple border — these are the template locations where you can add SPE Messages
  4. Find the template location where you would like to add a message
  5. Click the Add Message button to open the SPE Message selection panel
  6. Choose a message in the list to add it to the email template — if you select a message that is already added to this template location, you will be notified and will not be able to add it again to this location
  7. A preview of the message will be added to the template location in a card container; the card also includes buttons along the bottom for: ordering the message (up/down arrows), adding conditional logic, editing the message, and removing the message from the template location
  8. Click the Add Message button again to add more messages to the template location
  9. Click Save Changes at the top to save your settings for the Order Status email and close the window
  10. Click Update to save your email settings to the product
