Messages Not Appearing

Troubleshooting Checklist #

Go through each step to identify the issue:

Step 1: Verify Message Exists #

  1. Go to WooCommerce → SPE Messages
  2. Confirm your message is published (not draft)
  3. Open and verify it has content

Step 2: Verify Product Assignment #

  1. Edit the product
  2. Find the SPE Messages section
  3. Confirm a message is selected
  4. Save/Update the product

Step 3: Verify Order Status (PRO) #

  1. Check which status the message is assigned to
  2. Ensure the order reached that status
  3. Status must change to trigger email

Step 4: Check Email Logs #

  1. Install an email logging plugin (e.g., WP Mail Log)
  2. Place a test order
  3. Check the logged email content
  4. Is the SPE Message present?

Step 5: Theme Conflicts #

  1. Switch to a default theme (Twenty Twenty-Five)
  2. Test again
  3. If it works, your theme conflicts with SPE

Step 6: Plugin Conflicts #

  1. Deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce and SPE
  2. Test again
  3. Reactivate plugins one by one to find conflict

  • SPE/SPE PRO version
  • Theme name
  • List of active plugins
  • Steps you’ve tried
